Enjoy a week long climbing retreat in the world class destination of El Potrero Chico Mexico. ACMG certified guides Nick Bejcar and Amanda Bischke will host you for 9 days (8 nights) and show you their favorite climbs in the area.

The limestone walls of El Potrero Chico attract climbers from around the world each winter. There’s something for everyone, with over 600 routes from 5.easy to 5.14 ranging from amazing single pitch climbing and long routes up to 23 pitches. Enjoy a week filled with short approaches and lots of climbing. Join us in one of North America’s top winter climbing destinations for an unforgettable climbing adventure.

Trip Itinerary
Day 1 ¡Bienvenidos a México!
Fly into the Monterrey International Airport and catch a shuttle to El Potrero Chico. Settle into your accommodation and meet your guides and other participants. We’ll have a group dinner and talk about our week at 7pm.
Day 2 Climbing Orientation
We’ll head into the canyon and get acquainted with the Mexico limestone. This day focuses on fun cragging, skill development and selection objectives for the rest of the week. (TICKLISTS BABBBBBY)
Day 3 Climb
Lets get it on! The group will split into smaller partnerships and rotate guides through the week, each getting ample opportunity to enjoy some of EPC world class selection of long quality limestone routes. The remainder of the group will enjoy other crags and have the opportunity to focus on learning outcomes with their ACMG Guide.
Day 4 Rest
Today is an oppurtunity to explore the local area with your partner, enjoy some tacos and a pool or join us for a stretch session poolside. We can point you in the right direction to check out the nearby hot springs. An option to work on additional ground skills will be available to those that want.
Day 5 Climb
Back to the rock! Lets flex those muscles and continue our climbing experience.
Day 6 Climb
The grand finale of climbing, followed by a group farwell meal. Where we can share stories from a memorable week of good stone, good company and lasting memories.
Day 7 Rest
One more day of needed rest, consider taking the oppurtunity to explore the local markets or just lounge poolside and drink in the mexican sunshine.
Day 8 Climb
No climbing trip is complete without one final hurrah using the last of your available skin and muscle power before a fun wrap up evening at the local watering hole recounting the exciting week, and offering up insights to those who may want to do more together in the future!
Day 9 Departure
We will help with getting you back on a shuttle to the airport, and wave goodbye until our next adventure together! There is the option to extend your trip, reach out for more information.

Participants must be confident with top rope belaying and able to top rope 5.6 climbs indoors or outdoors. There is a plethora of climbing for both beginner and experienced climbers.
Minimum age: 19 years old

We will have 2 guides for a maximum of six clients on this trip. Multipitch days operate at a 1:2 ratio, while cragging days can be up to 1:6.

El Potrero Chico is located adjacent to the town of Hidalgo in Nuevo Leon. You’ll fly into the Monterey International Airport. From there you can use a taxi service or catch an Uber to El Potrero Chico. We can help schedule a ride or put you in contact with other participants to share a taxi.
